Dreame H14 Dual vs. Roborock F25 ACE Combo: What's the Difference and Which One to Choose?

In this review, I decided to compare two top-end upright vacuum cleaners, namely the recently released Roborock F25 ACE Combo and its main competitor in this segment - Dreame H14 Dual, which launched in October 2024. These vacuum cleaners share one feature: an additional set of dry cleaning attachments. They are also in the same price range. The Roborock F25 ACE Combo can be ordered for $550, while the Dreame H14 Dual starts at $600. Below, I'll compare the design, features, specifications, and test results in detail to demonstrate the real-world differences between these wet vacuum cleaners and whether there's a clear winner. So, let's get started!
Equipment
Let's start with the package contents. The Dreame H14 Dual comes with a base, an accessory holder, three dry cleaning attachments (floor nozzle, upholstery nozzle, and crevice tool), a cleaning tool, a spare roller, a spare HEPA filter, a bottle of cleaning solution, and a user manual (translated into Russian).
The Roborock F25 ACE Combo comes with a similar package: a base with an accessory holder, three dry cleaning attachments, a spare HEPA filter, a cleaning tool, a cleaning bottle, and instructions. The only thing missing is a spare roller, like the Dreame, but the price difference allows for multiple rollers, so there's no clear winner here.
Design and functions
Now let's compare the design of wet/dry vacuum cleaners. They operate identically: a cleaning module, tanks for clean and dirty water, and buttons on the handle. The main unit detaches, and dry cleaning accessories are attached. But what are the differences? There are some.
First, about the cleaning modules. Both have a single roller that spans the entire width of the body, with minimal blind spots at the edges. The rollers are visually familiar, but it's worth noting that the Dreame roller claims to contain silver ions within the bristles to protect against the spread of germs and bacteria.
In both cases, the roller is attached to a cross-shaped holder, behind which are installed practically identical metal combs for untangling the roller from wound hair and wool..
It's important to note that the Dreame H14 Dual has a backlight in its wet/dry vacuum cleaner, while the Roborock does not. Incidentally, both wet/dry vacuum cleaners feature electric wheels.
Another difference is that the Roborofck F25 ACE Combo's water tank is integrated into the top lid, shifting the center of gravity downward. This module also includes a separate tank for automatically mixing detergent with clean water.

As for the dirty water tanks, they are designed roughly the same and feature a good multi-stage dirty water filtration system. There is a slight difference in tank capacity, but more on that later.
Moving on to the control buttons, everything is identically located on the handle. The only small detail is that the Dreame H14 Dual has an additional mechanical detergent dispenser switch. This means you can turn off the automatic mixing function, saving detergent. The Roborock F25 ACE Combo doesn't have this button.
The operating modes are slightly different. The Dreame H14 Dual has four: automatic, disinfection mode, suction mode, and a custom mode, which can be configured in the app. The Roborock F25 ACE Combo also has four modes, but I find them more useful: automatic, maximum, suction mode, and ECO.
Moving on to the displays. Both are informative. Personally, I prefer the Dreame's design, but that's a matter of taste, as they say.
Both compared wet/dry vacuum cleaners boast a 180-degree tilt angle, which is also a tie. However, a slight difference is that the Roborock's height in a horizontal position is no more than 12.5 cm, while the Dreame's is 14 cm. And that's before the handle protruding from the top, which further increases the vacuum's height in this position.
The principle of switching vacuum cleaner types is slightly different, but it doesn't really matter. The Dreame's detachable module is simply attached to the dust bin and attachments, while the Roborock's similar module is installed in the main unit, which is similar to a standard upright vacuum cleaner. More importantly, the Dreame H14 Dual's dust bin is completely removable and washable, which is very convenient. The Roborock F25 ACE Combo's dust bin is not removable, which isn't very practical.
There are also differences in the attachments. The main floor attachments are quite different. The Dreame has a universal roller for carpets and floors with coarse bristle inserts. It also has a light for the cleaning area and combs behind the roller.
Roborock, however, did a better job with their attachment, installing a combined roller for carpets and hard floors with a large opening at the front for larger debris and a convenient green light for the cleaning area. I prefer this design.
The Dreame's furniture attachment is equipped with a bristle turbo brush; this type of brush is better at collecting pet hair, but it also tends to tangle things up more.
Roborock has a silicone brush and a built-in hair and fur ejector. This is also a better solution.
Crevice nozzles of the same design.
The last thing left to compare is the bases. Both feature self-cleaning with hot water and drying with warm air. The difference lies in the temperatures, which will be discussed below. Looking ahead, Roborock's base features more effective drying and self-cleaning.
Technical specifications
Of course, it's important to compare the specifications of the Dreame H14 Dual and Roborock F25 ACE Combo vacuum cleaners. I've included them in a table for easy reference:
| Dreame H14 Dual | Roborock F25 ACE Combo | |
| Battery | Li-Ion, 4900 mAh | Li-Ion, 4000 mAh |
| Power consumption | 380 W | No data |
| Suction power | up to 18000 Pa | up to 20,000 Pa |
| Opening hours | up to 40 / up to 70 min | up to 60 / up to 65 min |
| Clean water tank | 880 ml | 740 ml |
| Dirty water tank | 650 ml | 720 ml |
| Detergent tank | 120 ml | 100 ml |
| Dust collector | No data | No data |
| Roller self-cleaning temperature | 60 degrees | 90 degrees |
| Roller drying temperature | 60 degrees | 90 degrees |
| Noise level | 72-86 dB | 72-79 dB |
| Weight | 6 kg / 2.9 kg | 4.7 kg / 2.8 kg |
The main points to note here are that the Dreame H14 Dual has a more capacious battery and a larger clean water tank. The Roborock F25 ACE Combo boasts higher claimed suction power, a larger dirty water tank, significantly higher water and air heating temperatures at the station, is quieter, and is significantly lighter. Overall, the Roborock is clearly superior in terms of specifications.
Functional capabilities
Since both vacuum cleaners support smartphone control, we'll briefly discuss the differences in functionality. The Dreame H14 Dual lets you select an operating mode and customize user settings (such as suction power and roller water flow rate). You can also customize the roller drying mode, schedule drying, adjust the amount of detergent added, adjust the steering speed, monitor consumable status, and select the voice package language. Additionally, the Dreame H14 Dual supports Russian voice commands.
The Roborock F25 ACE Combo has the same features in its app, but I'd like to point out that the global version, as reviewed, only speaks English, not Russian. This voice package is included in the Russian version of the vacuum cleaner. This is important to keep in mind. Roborock also implemented an interesting feature: remote control mode for the vacuum cleaner when it's lying horizontally on the floor. Here's how it works:
As I already said in a separate review, I don’t know where this solution might be useful, but you can play with it.
Testing
And equally important, it's important to compare test results. I'll briefly cover the main ones. For a more detailed study, I recommend checking out the individual reviews of these vacuum cleaners on the channel or the video comparison:
The most important parameter for me is the speed at which it removes tough stains. Roborock completed the task in 5.5 minutes using the company's detergent. The Dreame H14 Dual performed roughly the same—it completed the same task in 6 minutes, even with the added detergent. The difference isn't significant, and I don't have a clear winner in this test.
Another important point that was tested was the blind spot between the edge of the roller and the baseboard. For Roborock, it's between 2 and 5 mm. For Dreame, it's also up to 5 mm, so it's a tie.
In everyday life, I didn’t notice any difference between the vacuum cleaners in terms of floor cleaning.
The self-cleaning quality is visually identical, but no matter how you look at it, the Roborock uses a higher water temperature when rinsing the roller, so I believe this solution is more effective.
I also compared the dry cleaning performance of the vacuum cleaners. In terms of power, the Dreame H14 Dual cleaned crevices on the stand more quickly and thoroughly, including those 35 mm deep. The Roborock F25 ACE Combo also cleared the 35 mm mark, but only partially and with more passes.
On hard floors, the Roborock vacuum cleaner head performed better because it can pick up large debris like cat litter pellets. The Dreame vacuum cleaner head has problems with this because it lacks a window at the front. Both vacuums clean carpets equally well.
As already mentioned, the roller structure itself is better in Roborock, as it picks up less hair and fur without compromising the quality of debris collection.
Finally, I tested the battery life of the Roborock F25 ACE Combo and Dreame H14 Dual at maximum power with the floor nozzle attached. The Dreame lasted 30 minutes and 30 seconds, while the Roborock lasted 27 minutes and 40 seconds. The difference is slight, but not critical for everyday use.
Personal opinion
So what's the bottom line? In the end, I can say that the Dreame H14 Dual and Roborock F25 ACE Combo are actually very similar in both design and cleaning performance. There are some differences, some of which may seem significant to many, so I've compiled a final table comparing all the points I discovered during testing:

We can see that there are numerous differences, as well as pros and cons, for each model. The final comparison data will help you decide which is more important to you. Personally, I prefer the Roborock F25 ACE Combo because it's lighter and quieter, they've increased the water and air heating temperature at the station, they've improved the main dry cleaning nozzle, and it's able to remove stains from floors a bit faster. It's also a bit more affordable.
But the Dreame H14 Dual is just as good and even better in many ways. It has a larger-capacity battery and likely an even more powerful motor, as it performed better in both power and battery life tests. The disinfection system is also well-designed, and in my opinion, the device has better design and ergonomics, including a removable dust container and display.
So, decide for yourself what's more important and which brand you prefer. On that note, I'd like to end this review. Thank you all for your attention, and happy shopping. Bye!
