Bist Win A100 or Hobot 288Bist Win A100 or Hobot 288

There aren't many window cleaning robots on the market today. In 2019, among all the available models, no more than ten could be considered truly high-quality and effective. After analyzing the specifications, it's clear that two parameters are truly crucial: battery life and speed. In this regard, the Beast is slightly better (it lasts longer on battery power). Its only limitations are its slightly larger size and weight, as well as its longer charging time. It's important to note that the latter doesn't affect the quality or speed of operation, as both models operate when connected to a power cable.

In this comparison, we give preference to Bist Win A100, the final score is 1:1.

Functional capabilities

The most important comparison criterion is how well the window cleaning robot cleans and how efficiently it does its job.

Both models have the same glass mounting method. The built-in motor provides powerful suction, and the robots can use the vacuum's power to adhere to vertical surfaces. The power of both models is approximately the same (72 W and 75 W).

Bist Win A100:

Both models are powered by mains electricity. Both the Hobot and the Beast come with convenient, large power cables with extension cords, allowing for use away from power outlets.

Both models also feature a safety block; the only differences are the material and length of the safety cable. Generally, both options are suitable for protecting the robot from falling out of a window. However, such incidents are extremely rare (or occur if the operating instructions are not followed correctly).

Hobot 288:

There are still some design differences between the models. It's worth noting that the Beast window cleaner is equipped with a moving unit, which cleans glass and other vertical smooth surfaces much more effectively due to constant friction as it moves from side to side. This feature improves dry cleaning performance. Furthermore, the device is suitable for cleaning frameless windows thanks to its installed sensors. Equally important, the robotic window cleaner covers the entire surface quickly, while maintaining a high cleaning quality.

Regarding the Hobot 288, the cleaning pads are attached to the bottom; there's no moving unit. The device is also equipped with sensors, allowing it to clean frameless glass. The speed is roughly the same. The main advantage of the Hobot model is the mobile app, which allows you to control the robot and monitor the cleaning process. In this regard, the Hobot has a distinct advantage.

In terms of functionality, the presence of a movable unit is a more important advantage than the ability to control it via an app. In any case, the remote control offers virtually all the same capabilities as a smartphone.

I enjoy reading and watching your reviews! Could you please tell me which robot window cleaner should I choose today: the Hobot 2s or the Bist Win a 100? The Gyrlin window cleaner with a moving platform isn't available yet!

Hello! Both are good. If it were a 2-in-1 product: it scrubs and sprays water, it would be absolutely fantastic. Otherwise, they're basically equally effective.
